Biography Overview
Stephen Mistoler joined Paul and Perkins in 2025, after serving as defense counsel for numerous nursing homes, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, homeowners’ associations, corporate entities, insurance companies, Orange County, the City of Orlando, and as Special Magistrate for the City of Palm Coast. While Mr. Mistoler is well-versed in many areas of the law, his practice primarily focuses on long-term healthcare facility neglect, abuse, personal injury, premises liability, medical malpractice and wrongful death.
Now, Mr. Mistoler brings a profound sense of knowledge and experience to pursue justice for his clients and their families who have been wrong by healthcare providers and other entities.
Education
Mr. Mistoler is a Florida native who was born and grew up in Orlando, Florida. Prior to law school he graduated from Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Florida and Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. At university, he was very involved with Student Government where he served as a Student Senator representing his peers. He was also an active member of the Clemson Water Polo team that travelled and competed across the Southeast.
Mr. Mistoler went on to attend Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida where he cultivated his love and understanding of advocacy and the law. While a student, he was invited to join Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, one of the world’s most prestigious professional organizations, for his academic excellence and professionalism.
