Biography Overview

Mallory Widgren counsels and represents individuals who have been injured or wronged in the areas of civil litigation including premises liability, products liability, wrongful death, automobile negligence, negligent security, false imprisonment, breach of contract, professional negligence, and insurance coverage issues.

Ms. Widgren is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a graduate of the Al J. Cone Trial Advocacy Institute and has tried cases in both State and Federal Court. She has received the honor of entry into the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and is the recipient of the King & Markman 2014 Achievement Award.


Education

Ms. Widgren relocated from her hometown of Dallas, Texas to begin her legal education at the University of Central Florida where she received a Bachelor of Arts in legal studies. She was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and was recognized for her community volunteerism with the chapter’s Philanthropy Award for her efforts. Also as an undergraduate, she studied law internationally at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.

Ms. Widgren continued her legal education as a scholarship recipient at Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. Among the top 10 students of her class, she received her Juris Doctorate cum laude. Ms. Widgren served as a Senior Editor for the Barry Law Review, a member of the Family Law Symposium Planning Committee, and earned book awards in Torts II, Professional Responsibility, Mediation, Contract Drafting, and Florida Constitutional Law.


Memberships

Ms. Widgren has served in multiple leadership positions within the legal community including serving on the Florida Justice Association Board of Directors as the Women’s Caucus Chair-Elect and on the Young Lawyers’ Board of Directors. She has served the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers in multiple roles including Auction for Action Charitable Event Chair and Mentoring Program Chair. For the Orange County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Section, Mrs. Widgren has served as the Scholarship Chair and Awards Chair. Ms. Widgren is a fellow of the Wm. Reece Smith Florida Bar Leadership Academy, Class IV.

Ms. Widgren has also undertaken speaking engagements including multiple appearances at the Florida Justice Association, Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, and the Orange County Bar Association’s Bench Bar Conference.

Ms. Widgren is active in the local community. As a volunteer for the FEMA Disaster Assistance, Junior Achievement program, Give Kids the World, Special Olympics, and Walt Disney World Sports, Ms. Widgren has had a positive impact on the lives of individuals in our community.
